Classes run for 1 1/2 hours and include deep relaxation. Class sizes are small and individualised. Everyone is encouraged to practice mindfully. You learn how to adapt the practices and support where needed with cushions and straps. Mat yoga classes start lying down, and include all-fours, kneeling, standing and balancing. Chair yoga uses the support of chair, bench and wall to adapt classical yoga poses. All classes include flowing sequences rather than long holding or many repetitions. what people sayThese yoga classes are amazing!
I have learned so much about my body, how to relax and breathe properly. If you have never done yoga before, this is for you. And if you have, prepare to be amazed! - Sue Always feel rejuvenated after a yoga session with Jocelyn. A tranquil haven in the midst of our busy lives! - Tami I have attended Jocelyn's yoga classes for nearly 2 years. In that time I have improved my strength and flexibility, also areas of pain have greatly diminished particularly my left shoulder and lower back. The moment I walk through the door for my yoga class I'm always amazed - the aura of peace and tranquility is all around me like an oasis. The relaxation practice followed by the many different yoga stretches, along with so many useful tips (not without a sense of humour) is wonderful. I leave the class feeling relaxed yet energised … highly recommended. - Marie Jocelyn is such a gentle and encouraging teacher. She starts with ‘where you are at’ and helps you develop your skills at your pace. I love having the time to breathe and stretch, and plan to make more time this year devoted to my health and well being. - Susie I have been in chronic pain for years and have found Chair Yoga has helped me enormously. My body is not as stiff and I find I have more flexibility. I would recommend Jocelyn's classes to everyone. - Freda |
